Why are we going, anyway? Follow my trip here
The Rancho Santa Fe orphanage, one of nine orphanages run by Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (www.nph.org) in Latin America, is a self-sustaining community and home to 600 orphaned or abandoned children. There’s lots to be done at the ranch! We will work each morning on the farm and gardens, in the tortilla house and kitchen, and at the medical clinic. Each afternoon, we will hang out with the kids at the orphanage, playing soccer, helping with homework, doing arts and crafts, sharing the small joys of everyday life. And, we’ll be speaking Spanish!
